The treatment for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) has not changed more than 20 years while the prognosis patients is still poor and most of them survive less 1 year after diagnosis. standard care GBM comprised surgical resection followed by radiotherapy oral chemotherapy with temozolomide. placement carmustine wafers in brain tumour removal added cases recurrent glioma. Significant research underway to improve therapy outcome patient quality life. Biomaterials are front line focus new options. Specially, biocompatible polymers have been proposed hydrogel-based formulations aiming at injectable localized therapies. These can comprise many different pharmacological agents such as chemotherapeutic drugs, nanoparticles, cells, nucleic acids, diagnostic agents. In this manuscript, we review recent developed tested both vitro vivo using types hydrogels. Firstly, describe three common thermo-responsive addressing advantages drawbacks their formulations.
